ALAMOSA (O'Reilly x Lodore Mystic by Centaine)
Alamosa, with 4 Gr 1 victories himself including the time-honoured Toorak Handicap at Caulfield, was a champion on the racetrack (Champion NZ 3-year-old; Gr 1 winner at 2, 3 and 4 years old; Gr 1 winner under handicap and WFA conditions; Gr 1 winner in New Zealand and Australia) by champion sire O'Reilly.
At stud he is now firmly established as one of the leading sires standing in New Zealand, with over 190 winners at a ratio of 60% winners to runners (as at the end of 2018/19 season) including Stolen Dance (Gr 1), Kirramosa (Gr 1), On The Rocks (Gr 2) Beefeater (Gr 3) She's Poppy (Gr3) as well as 9 other black type winners and another 12 that have performed at that level.
