The win by 'Super Team' at Sha Tin last night was particuarly significant in that as of today, every son of Handsome Ransom to have started in the fiercely competitive Hong Kong racing environment is a winner - an incredible feat for any stallion!

It has taken the gelding (Handsome Ransom ex L'Affair) seven starts to get the win. Increasing distance seems to be his friend, and having raced midfeild, he burst through horses as space appeared at the furlong pole, to win going away, hitting the line like a good middle distance horse should, at just his second attempt at the mile.

Super Team was purchased by his Hong Kong connections following an Avondale trial win in 2010.

He joins High Loft (one win), Handsome Zulu (two wins) and Finezza (four wins, four placings) in Hong Kong, and the performance of these four horses sees Handsome Ransom sitting comfortably in the Hong Kong sires list, and at a service fee of $4000 NZD, the cheapest sire in the top 50!
