Savatag (Alamosa x All In Tune by Grosvenor), bred by Wellfield Holdings, cleared maidens over 1350 metres at Wanganui for owners Bernie Mackay, Ruth Mackay and John Alexander at his first start after changing stables to join Jaimee-Lee Lupton @ Waverley. The gelding was one of three winners on the day to benefit from the " magic" touch of Chris Johnson .
