Encosta de Lago’s only multiple Group One winning son at stud

The 2010 season heralded the next step in the progression of Wellfield Lodge, the stud announcing that Road To Rock, a dual Group One winning son of Encosta de Lago, will join the roster for the season. Road To Rock took to his stud duties like an old pro, and his first crop foals this season are certainly not disappointing.

With Encosta de Lago’s continued dominance of both racetracks and sale rings throughout Australasia, the demand for his sons at stud has also never been more intense.

Wellfield are proud to be standing the champion sire’s only multiple Group One winning entire, continuing the stud’s policy of offering New Zealand breeders access to both quality bloodlines and elite level racetrack performance.

Road To Rock was a superb athlete for trainer Anthony Cummings. The stallion retires to stud with earnings of A$1,224,750 and the winner of six races from 1500m to 2000m.
